When you need a sworn translator

Documents submitted to Spanish courts, the Registro Civil, embassies, consulates, and immigration authorities generally require a sworn translation produced by a translator officially recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Standard translation, even if accurate, will not be accepted.

We work with accredited sworn translators for the main Spanish language pairs. The certification accompanies the translation with the translator's stamp and signature in the format required by Spanish authorities.

Corporate and commercial legal work

Contracts, shareholder agreements, terms and conditions, compliance documents, and cross-border legal correspondence. These do not always require sworn certification, but they require translators who understand the legal concepts involved, not just the vocabulary.

We take confidentiality seriously for legal material. All translators on legal projects sign additional confidentiality agreements. Secure file transfer is available.

Documents we regularly handle

Birth and marriage certificates, property deeds, powers of attorney, corporate articles of association, court judgments, commercial contracts, employment agreements, and immigration documents. If your document type is not listed here, ask us and we will confirm whether we can handle it.

Delivery: Standard legal translation: 3-6 business days. Sworn certification: add 1-2 days. Emergency turnaround available for time-sensitive filings.

Specific questions

Sworn translation standards vary by country. Our translators are accredited for Spain. For other EU countries, we can advise on whether additional apostille or certification is needed.

We produce the translation and certification. Apostille is a separate official process. We can advise on the process and refer you to the relevant authority.
